Same high quality – it just takes longer

Juliana Drivhuse has supplied greenhouses and orangeries to Danish customers since 1963. Over the years, we have strived to deliver the highest-quality products and keep our promises. That is still the case, and in fact it is an approach that is needed more than ever. This is because we are faced with a uniquely challenging situation – one that we, along with many other Danish companies, have not faced before. In this press release you can read about the current situation, the reasons for the longer delivery times, the longer response times in our customer centre, and more.

The corona pandemic has had a disastrous effect on many companies, but for us – and many other suppliers of products for homes and gardens – the crisis has had the opposite effect. The demand for greenhouses and orangeries, among other products, has increased significantly since March 2020. For this reason, we have increased the capacity at our factory in Odense by 40 per cent, and our skilled and committed employees are working a three-shift system to keep up. A major effort in 2020 allowed us to deliver a record number of greenhouses to our customers at home and abroad, without compromising on our usual high quality standards.

The demand for greenhouses and orangeries remains very high in 2021. At the same time, however, on the world market there is now a shortage of steel, aluminium and glass, which are some of the most important raw materials we use to manufacture our products. This is the direct cause of the longer delivery times, which sometimes can even change during the production and delivery process.

The situation is painful for us and is inconsistent with the values that we have upheld since 1963. On the one hand, we are battling to fulfil each order, and on the other, we have had to realise that there are some things we have no control over. It is an unprecedented situation, and we spend all our waking hours navigating the waters we find ourselves in as well as we can. So we hope for your understanding and apologise for the inconvenience and frustrations the situation causes you as a customer. On the other hand, we can promise that we will not compromise on the quality of the products, which will give you many happy moments for many years to come.

Your greenhouse will arrive, but unfortunately it will take longer than usual.
